Sunday Worship

Sunday morning 10:30-12:00

Join us on Sunday morning for worship as Lynda, Annette, or Patti leads us in worship. Every service is unique in it’s own way and you don’t want to miss Pastor Don’s sermon.

Sunday School
Sunday Morning:  10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Kindergarten to Grade 7
All year long

Children are dismissed to their classes immediately after the worship service.  The children meet in the fireside room, and it is just one class.

In Sunday School, children learn about the Word of God and how it applies to their own lives.

Kid’s Life
Wednesday Evening:   6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Kindergarten to Grade 7
Begins late in September and runs until April

Parents register their children at the church office starting in September.  The cost is minimal and special rates are provided for families.  Parents bring their children to the church and pick them up at 7:30 PM.

In Kid’s Life, we teach children about the loving and powerful character of God through songs, stories, and drama.  Approximately once every month, we plan a special activity outside of the church, such as swimming, bowling, and tobogganing.  We also provide Valentine and year-end parties where parents are invited.  Kid’s life Has ended for the summer.

Vacation Bible School
Monday to Friday:  9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Kindergarten to Grade 7
One week in July

Parents register their children at the church office starting late June.  There is no cost.

Vacation Bible School is an exciting week of fun activities, including live children’s music, drama, crafts, gym activites, snacks, Bible stories, and memory verses.

Nursery
Sunday Morning:  10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Ages 0 to 4
All year long

Care is provided for children ages four and under.  The nursey is located on the ground floor next to the stairway.  There is a playroom for toddlers, a sleeping area for babies, and a small gym for the young children.

Adult Bible Study:
Pastor Don has a weekly Bible Study on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm. This is an ever-growing class, as excitement is raised during the various topics of scripture. Pastor Don has a unique way of teaching, and leaves no stone unturned. Adult Bible Study has ended for the summer.

Men’s Ministry:

Men, watch out for this new season! We have a group of men who are chomping at the bit to ‘get moving’ with the men of the church! We will keep you well informed of upcoming activities.

Calvary Youth:
Our vision for Calvary Youth is to help strengthen each student’s relationship with God, with people, and to help them become relevant contributor to the local church. We accomplish this through weekly gatherings, special events and trips. If you are grade 8-12, this is THE PLACE TO BE!

Women’s Ministry:
Our women meet together once a week for an interactive Bible Study. We have two groups, one in the morning and the other in the evening of the same day. This accommodates for the various schedules with work and children. Once a month we all gather together in the evening for a potluck supper and special activity. Every spring we have our annual Ladies Retreat. Ladies ministry has ended for the summer.

Senior’s Ministry
Our Seniors are a fairly active group and enjoy meeting together for several activities. We meet once a month, usually on the second Tuesday for a Luncheon and program at noon in the Fireside room. We enjoy a home-cooked meal and a program consisting of a hymn-sing, special music, and a speaker. Cost is by offering. A group of seniors meet every Wednesday at 1:30pm at the Ponderosa Place Lounge for a Bible Study. We have tea and study various biblical topics of interest to the folks. This is an interdenominational group. The Seniors also meet with folks from other churches twice monthly at Desert Gardens for a hymn-sing in the cafeteria with Pastor Jim and Doris Tyler. This takes place the first and third Mondays at 1:30pm. The Seniors have a Nintendo Wii game and meet occasionally of Friday mornings to have coffee, cookies, and Wii. Pastor Babs enjoys working with this group and will visit shut-ins and those confined to hospital. In the good weather, we take day trips to various areas around Kamloops and district and usually end with a meal together.
